Tour of the capital city
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia, Terelj National Park and explore beautiful Turtle Rock
The capital city
Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia
Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia, is the main gate
for trips to any destination within Mongolia. Ulaanbaatar is located on the
bank of the Tuul River and surrounded by four sacred mountains, define the
northern /Chingeltai Uul/, southern (Bogd Uul), to the east (Bayanzurkh Uul)
and west (Songino Khairkhan Uul). Special as a sunny, sometimes it is cool and
foggy in the morning, open city, Ulaanbaatar is a city of contrasts where
modern life comfortably blends with Mongolian traditional nomadic lifestyle.
Terelj
National Park
Terelj National Park is close to the capital city
Ulan Bator, Mongolia, easy to reach, and with its forests of larches, its rocky
formations sculpted by the elements, its tumultuous rivers and its green
pastures where nomads and herds live in harmony in this exuberant nature. The
southern edge of the park is quite touristy, but most people stay confined
around this area, so those keen for some solitude will find it remarkably
easily. You can spend your trips in Terelj with a family of
the region to have a good overview of the nomadic way of life and discover, hiking or horse riding, the natural beauties of the
park.
